My Confession…

hot-coalsI am a sinner.  I am a glutton.  I am a heathen.  I am angry.  I am lost.  I am an adulterer.  I am greedy.  I am apathetic. I am prideful.  I am envious.  I am lustful.  I am…human.

I have had other Gods that I worshiped.  I have doubted that my God is real.  I have cursed Him for everything that I am.  I have wondered, on more than one occasion, where He is in my life.  I have been weak.  I have been…human.

“It was in the year King Uzziah died that I saw the Lord.  He was sitting on a lofty throne, and the train of His robe filled the Temple.  Attending Him were mighty seraphim, each having six wings.  With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet and with two they flew.  They were calling out to each other.  Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!  The whole earth is filled with His glory!”

My God is a holy God, morally perfect and pure.  He is without stain and set apart from all sin.  He is awesome.  He is mighty.  He is glorious.  He is powerful.  He is strong!  He is…God

“Their voices shook the Temple to its foundations, and the entire building was filled with smoke.
Then I said, “It’s all over!  I am doomed, for I am a sinful man.  I have filthy lips, and I live among people with filthy lips.  Yet I have seen the King, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.”
Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal he had taken from the altar with a pair of tongs.  He touched my lips with it and said, “See, this coal has touched your lips.  Now your guilt is removed, and your sins are forgiven.”

Through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, I am clean.  I am no longer a glutton.  I no longer desire the things of this world.  I am strong in my weakness.  I am valuable to Him, and I am powerful with Him by my side.  I am no longer an adulterer, a sloth…no longer greedy, angry, envious.  Through Him…I am worthy.

“Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people?  Who will go for us?”
I said, “Here I am.  Send me.”
And He said, “Yes, go, and say to this people,

‘Listen carefully, but do not understand.  Watch closely, but learn nothing.  Harden the hearts of these people.  Plug their ears and shut their eyes.  That way, they will not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their hearts and turn to me for healing.’
-Isaiah 6:1-10

Have you been where I have?  Have you walked a similar path?  One of sadness…death…pain and suffering?  Are you ready to accept the greatest gift that He has for you?  Acknowledge that He is the Holiest of Holies and that we all fall short of His grace and glory.  Let the fire from His coal touch your lips and cleanse you in preparation for His plan for your life.

I have confessed, and I am ready.  Send me, Father.  Send me!

  1. God Bless you Guy for your heart repentance, all God wants now is our acceptance of His Truth and our willingness to choose His guidelines and live righteously, then He can empower us so we can be faithful to do this.

We are under a new Covenant of God’s Grace, He has forgiven us our past sins and sets us free from the Slavery of sin, this is why we can reckon ourselves dead to sin but why do so many want to accept that they can’t be what God tells us we can be, A Holy Nation , why are they rejecting His Truth, calling themselves sinners, when He tells us when we are Born again and have His seed we can’t sin, why are they believing Satan’s lies, this is why they remain in darkness instead of shining.

Many Blessings Guy now and always, God will be with you as you tell the world they are set free from the bondage of sin, that they don’t have to sin, they can choose not too and God will then empower them not to and so put their evil flesh to death and be conformed into the image of Jesus who was sinless.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne

    • Thanks so much for the support and kind words, Anne. That confession is an integral part of freeing any worldly bondage so that we can truly walk the walk and talk the talk. Love to you all as well!

  2. Guy: I was everything that you were. I am set free and forgiven as you are. Praise Jesus for His sacrifice that our sins are covered and taken away by His blood. Praise God for giving us His Holy Spirit, who seals us as His born-again children.

Keep on pressing on brother. You are an encouragement to me as we walk this difficult path. ~Andy
